The Youth Advisory Board and Summer Internship
Alumni and the Youth Advisory Board
It is our great pleasure to welcome Program Alumni to the Washington Scholars Program (WSP) Alumni Association.  All Alumni help to shape the experience for their fellow delegates and faculty.  We are excited to introduce you to the benefits of the WSP Alumni Association. Alumni, you will have access to the following:
     • George Mason University official transcripts;
     • The ability to nominate other qualified student leaders in your state and school;
     • Future leadership experiences through George Mason University
     • Continued connection with your WSP peers through the ForumsFacebook pageTwitter and Instagram accounts, and blog.

Along with the WSP Alumni Association, we have created the WJMC and WYSE Youth Advisory Boards to assist the leadership team with future conferences and new initiatives.  The Youth Advisory Board fulfills an important part of the WSP  team and participates via phone, email, and in person meetings to provide feedback and guidance for the 2017 summer conference development and planning process.

Applying for the Internship
Following your acceptance to the Youth Advisory Board, the opportunity to apply for the Summer Conference Intern (SCI) position will become available.   If selected, SCIs will serve at either WYSE or WJMC as support for the conference leadership in many ways, including:
     • Creating content for publishing on WYSE/WJMC social media accounts
     • Directly assisting the Leadership Team with daily office duties, conference prep, and on-site labor; and,
     • Acting as a liaison between staff and students.
