What to Discuss in the Forum

Please keep the discussion relevant by staying on the topic when posting in the Forums.  These Forums are provided to allow its users and our employees share their knowledge and help one another.  Please refrain from discussing personal matters, abusing any company or product, or, in general, from posting on topics unrelated to the Program or its services.

The Forums are not a transactional website.  While we recognize that the issue of tuition and fees for services may come up, we do not want it to be the focus of the Forum.  The Forums exist to provide a platform to discuss our conferences and the experiences of our students, staff, speakers, and families.  We do not permit references to competitors' or their prices or content.  Please check the current tuition rate and any additional fees before relying on any information posted on the Forums.

Please be courteous and respectful to everyone engaging on the Forum.  Everyone wants to have a fun and positive experience with the Forum.  Specifically, refrain from submitting anything unlawful, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, indecent, lewd, harassing, threatening, violent, racist, abusive, harmful, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, inflammatory or otherwise objectionable or injurious to third parties. Please also refrain from submitting any content intended to exploit, solicit, or harm minors. Your opinions are always welcome, but personal attacks and harassment ("flaming" ) in either the Forum or through private messaging is not acceptable.

Please be careful regarding the ideas expressed on the Forums.  The ideas expressed on the Forums are just opinions based on users' personal experience.  You are responsible for your decisions and actions.  If you do not believe the opinions given on the Forum by WSP personnel or other users, do not follow it.

We're here to help.  This community is provided as a service to WSP customers and is not intended for the promotion of third-party services, products, websites, or organizations.  Please refrain from posting content that would constitute advertising, junk mail, spam, chain letters, or any other form of unauthorized solicitation.  Spam and flaming will not be tolerated.  Users are permitted to use links within the WSP and George Mason University websites and to external sites, provided that the links: (a) provide information relevant to the discussion, and (b) do not point to commerce-enabled pages or pages from our competitors.  We encourage users to use social media to gain insight into the program, but links that encourage moving discussion to non-approved websites or group chat applications (GroupMe, Reddit, etc.) are prohibited.

To avoid any occurrences of virus transition, please do not post any content that uses JavaScript or ActiveX code, repetitive posts, or otherwise taking actions that interfere with site operations.  Do not post content that includes "Trojan horses", worms, spyware, files, executables, or external links to sites that force the download of any virus, program, spyware or other content or code that could interfere with the functionality of the site or damage or destroy data or functionality of any computer hardware or software.

It is unacceptable to post or submit any material: that would infringe on any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary rights of any party; that contains software viruses or any other computer code or files that are designed to disrupt, damage, or limit the functioning of any software or hardware; or that is deemed to be illegal by any local, state or federal law, rule or regulation.

Do not discuss anything to do with a legal issue, legal case, or attorneys.  This includes legal action involving the Program or University, soliciting individuals to engage in legal action against the Program or University, or offering other legal advice.

Do not falsely claim to be someone you are not (including any Community member) or claim expertise or credentials that you do not possess. Members found to be impersonating someone else will be banned from the WSP Community Forums.

WSP retains the right to remove and edit content and to limit and/or ban users' access to the Forum.  WSP retains the right, at its sole discretion, to limit users' access to the Forum and to remove material, in WSP's sole judgment, that does not comply with the Usage Guidelines or Terms and Conditions or that is otherwise inappropriate for the Forum, harmful, objectionable, or inaccurate.  WSP is not responsible for any failure or delay in removing such material.  Moderators may take any action they deem necessary in their own judgment to enforce the Usage Guidelines and Terms and Conditions, and, in general, to address content that can detract from the experience of other users or the purpose of the Forum.  Such actions may include editing, moving, or deleting material and banning individual users.
